So-long January…

Well we are nearly at the end of the first month of 2011 what can i say… but I love this.. ‘Any month that starts with a hangover, followed by a diet and hideous credit card bills, doesn’t have a lot going for it…’ (sadly not my witty remarks but something i read by Lindsay Nicholson Editorial Director of Good housekeeping magazine), that said I have made it through and had a pretty good month – I am really hoping that it is only gonna get better from here on in … but as I keep reading and hearing people say on the radio etc… my life is what ‘I’ make it and how determined I am to make it…. and I am still feeling pretty positive so … bring on February :)

Its a New Year – 2011

Hey hey – well another  year gone by, my blog is now 2 years old – didn’t do party or even have cake – very remiss will definitely have blog party cake next year! OK so rambling, as part of new year weekly goals this week I am supposed to be writing a blog post as part of this weeks goal – do i have anything to say… well no not really, could I rant about a billion things that have got on my nerves… well yes, would you be interested to read them… well probably not…. So where does that leave us… Never play leapfrog with a unicorn x

A Christmas post

Hope you are all well and having a lovely Christmas. We are all fine this end, we have Richards mum and dad down with us for the first year this year – and so far we haven’t had any family fights!!! However they only arrived last night!!! So plenty of time yet…He he he We are tracking Santa via http://www.noradsanta.org/en/index.html which the kids are really enjoying ☺. They are at this moment sat around the table peeling and cutting the veg for tomorrow while I sit with a glass of wine writing my last minute Christmas emails. Mum is sat knitting – she is just finishing Mary and baby Jesus for the Christmas knitted nativity (I will post some photos when its finished its fantastic). Will has been watching the highlights of the Ashes – the other week...

Movember

Well it’s Movember and if you are anything like me last year, WTF is that? As my usually scruffily unshaven man began to show a mo! I started to fret… gaaaaah… after the week he did shave and the mo became seriously evident… I *gently* said “do we really have to have that” (the fear & thoughts in my mind were pretty indescribable or should I say un-write-able!!) yet he squared his shoulders, looked me in the eye with such conviction, honesty and pain and said …”its Movember” pause… I am doing this for Prostate Cancer… My father died 12-05-2007 of the BIG C. Prostate Cancer. …So this year I was prepared, looking forward to seeing the mo grow and TOTALLY thrilled to see how many others...

I hate Tuesdays

I just do… the day always seems to go bad… today I ended up dropping my daughter at school in tears – between home and school she had lost her money for a poppy. I was so unbelievably annoyed! not that she had lost the money but that she said she hadn’t touched it – hadn’t moved it out of the pocket in her bag I put it in – yet bizarrely it was not in there! GRRRR this is a recurring happening with her – she didn’t touch it / didn’t do it… yet… I come home steaming and she goes to school crying… I feel once again like the worst mother in the world! I wish I could rewind the clock – give her a big hug and say never mind darling we will find it later and try again tomorrow.
